curved mansard

A flat central roof bounded by convex curved slopes that generally grow steeper toward the edges.

A curved mansard roof is a flat roof bounded around its edges by a convex curved slope, which generally increases its rate of steepness as it gets farther from the center of the roof.

The curved slopes surround a flat central portion. The form is therefore different from a dome, which rises toward an approximate central peak.

An angled mansard has a distinct bend in each edge slope. The curved mansard changes steepness along a convex curve.
