pellet stove

A pellet stove heating system is a method of heating interior building spaces by burning compact pellets of biomass or compressed wood in a stove. The stove usually contains a self-feeding mechanism so that a large supply of pellets can be burned continuously, requiring less oversight than a wood-burning stove, oven, or fireplace.
Compact biomass or compressed-wood pellets are the fuel. A self-feeding mechanism is usual but is not required by the definition.
The stove heats interior building spaces. The pellet fuel distinguishes it from a wood oven burning ordinary wood in an enclosed chamber.
