runway access

Direct access between a site and airplane traffic for loading or unloading passengers or goods.

An object has runway access when it is possible to load or unload passengers or material goods directly between that site and inbound or outbound airplane traffic on a runway. This applies mainly to cargo storage facilities at airports as well as homes and offices with private runways.

This should not be assigned to airport passenger or cargo terminals, where runway access is to be assumed based on the usage.

The connection must allow direct transfer between the site and aircraft traffic. Proximity to an airport alone is insufficient; passenger and cargo terminals remain excluded because their use already implies this access.
