Work is completed on a process to return an object to its original or former appearance.
Restoration of an object ends at the moment when the final work is performed to return it to its original appearance or design. It is not necessary that a restoration succeeds completely in reproducing the former condition to be considered complete.
The usual purpose of restoration is to enhance the historic value of buildings by undoing the changes that have accrued over the years, including deterioration through age as well as alterations made without respect for the original design.
This event completes the process started when restoration begins.
