millwork contractor
A contractor that installs interior woodwork, including moldings and often doors and windows.
A millwork contractor installs the woodwork inside a building, including moldings and often doors and windows. It is separate from the formwork contractor, which builds temporary wooden forms used in construction.
The installed woodwork forms part of the building's interior. Moldings are included, and doors or windows can also form part of the work without being required in every millwork contract.
Temporary forms used during construction have a different purpose from installed interior woodwork. A structural wood fabricator supplies load-bearing wooden members, while millwork contracting concerns installation of the interior woodwork described above.
