Places designated for fun, passive entertainment, or curiosity, excluding performance, educational, and cultural sites.
Amusement areas are places for pleasure-seeking, fun, passive entertainment, and arousal of curiosity. They do not include performance sites, educational spaces, or locations for art or culture.
The experience is provided for amusement itself. An entertaining presentation with an educational or cultural purpose retains that educational or cultural purpose even when visitors enjoy it.
A video arcade provides games for amusement, while a show venue presents a performed or recorded program to an audience. A site intended for presenting performances is outside this definition of amusement space.
