outdoor gear store

Retail space specializing in the equipment used in wilderness activities such as camping, hiking, and mountaineering.

An outdoor gear store is a retail space devoted to products used in wilderness expeditions and similar outdoor recreational activities, especially camping, hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, spelunking, scuba diving, hanggliding, etc.

The merchandise is selected for expeditions and outdoor recreation, including activities on land, in water, and in the air. The specialization is not limited to camping or walking equipment.

A fitness equipment store specializes in exercise and training equipment. A bait and tackle shop has a fishing-specific assortment, while outdoor gear can serve a wider range of expedition activities.
