American football is a team sport played on a turf measuring 360 x 160 feet (109.7 x 48.8 m), with 100 yards of contested space and two end zones. Each team attempts to move the ball toward the opponent's end zone through a combination of carrying, passing, and kicking the football according to prescribed rules.
A venue for American football must include a marked field and goalposts. It may or may not include seating for spectators, concession areas, changing rooms, locker rooms, skyboxes, etc.
The marked field includes the two end zones beyond the 100 yards between goal lines. A venue in a domed stadium can still provide this full-sized field; indoor football instead identifies versions of the game using a smaller indoor field.
