drawing
A manually created likeness of an object, action, or scene, including reproductions of a manually made original.
A drawing is a manually created semblance of an object, action, or scene. It may not be drawn with the aid of a computer or any mechanical or electronic drawing tool; normally it is produced with the aid of a pen, pencil, paintbrush, or other applicator of pigment or drawing substance. A photocopy or digital reproduction of a drawing still qualifies as a drawing. Woodblock prints and similar forms of printing also qualify as drawings, as long as the original carving was done manually.
The original image is made by hand without a computer or other mechanical or electronic drawing tool. That origin distinguishes it from a rendering, even when the resulting images have a similar appearance.
Copying or digitizing the finished drawing does not change how the original was created. A print made from a manually carved block also qualifies under the stated rule, although the distributed image is a reproduction.
