A likeness created with a programmatic drawing tool, usually a computer, including close reproductions of that image.
A rendering is an image of an object drawn with the assistance of some programmatic drawing tool, most often a computer. It can resemble a hand drawing in many respects. Any close reproduction of a rendering, including a photograph of a rendering which is barely distinguishable from the electronic reproduction, is also classified as a rendering, with the rendering's original credits and copyrights preserved.
The drawing tool used to create the original distinguishes a rendering from a drawing made manually. A hand-drawn appearance does not establish a manual origin.
A photograph that closely reproduces the rendering remains a rendering under this rule. Photographing a physical three-dimensional model has the separate photo of a model meaning.
