humidity
Measurements of moisture in air or other gases as an absolute quantity or a percentage of saturation.
Humidity measurements describe the amount of moisture content in air or in other gases, either as an absolute quantity per unit of volume (sometimes factoring in the temperature), or as a relative percentage of maximum possible humidity.
An absolute humidity gives a moisture quantity for a specified volume of gas. Relative humidity expresses the moisture level in relation to saturation at the relevant temperature.
A percentage and a mass per cubic meter are different forms of measurement. Controlled interior humidity specifically uses a deliberately maintained relative percentage inside a building space.
