synagogue

A synagogue is a space dedicated to religious worship, prayer, and services by adherents to the Jewish faith.

The space is intended for Jewish religious practice. A Jewish organization can also occupy offices or social rooms whose functions are separate from worship and prayer.

An Orthodox synagogue and a Reform synagogue are houses of worship in particular Jewish traditions. Their different practices do not require a different general building form.
