floor plate contractor
A company which specializes in the construction of floor slabs on a building frame.
A floor plate contractor is the company responsible for the construction of structural floor plates. It is distinguished from the floor installation company, which lays the usable covering over the structural floorplate.
The constructed floor plate is a structural part of the building. It is distinct from the usable finish laid above it, even though both layers form parts of the completed floor.
A floor installation company lays the covering. The floor plate contractor builds the underlying structural plate, while shell construction concerns the building's framework more generally.
