flume
A ride which carries passengers in guided boats which plunge down water slides.
A flume is a water ride in which passengers are taken up in a roller coaster-like water slide and plunged down at least one wet chute.
Passengers ride in boats carried through the water route and down a wet descent. The course includes at least one such plunge rather than only level water travel.
A water slide instead has riders sliding without moving boats or seats. The passenger carrier distinguishes the flume from that form.
