A structural engineer which calculates the loads and requirements of a structure's facade.

A facade engineering company is responsible for calculating the structural requirements of a building's facade. It performs a structural engineering service, but limited exclusively to the building's outer wall.

The calculations address the structural requirements of the outer wall. The exclusive facade scope distinguishes this service from responsibility for the building's entire structural framework.

A facade consultant can review materials, design, or engineering more broadly. Facade installation builds and attaches the facade, while facade engineering establishes its structural requirements.
