GeoSampa CODLOG
The six-digit code identifying an officially registered thoroughfare in Sao Paulo, kept by the city in its street register.
The Codigo de Logradouro is the key of CADLOG, the register of Sao Paulo's thoroughfares maintained by the municipal planning secretariat. The city identifies properties by this code together with the postal code, and the tax administration uses it for property taxation, so it is a working key rather than a label. The register itself is internal; the codes reach the public through the GeoSampa portal.
Exactly six digits, and the leading zeros are part of the code. Measured across 20,730 imported values every one was six characters, including forms such as 000060 and 014788 that a numeric column would destroy.
The city counts 65,280 thoroughfares, of which 50,637 carry a valid code. A street without one is not an error: GeoSampa publishes the code only where it exists, and its absence marks a road whose name is unofficial or still pending. That is the difference from the GeoSampa street ID, which every mapped road carries.
