Drainage storage sites are places where drainage overflow is held or stored, including water collected from roof drainage, land drainage, or irrigation systems.

The water reaches the storage site as drainage or irrigation overflow. Its source distinguishes this use from general water storage for supply purposes.

Sewage storage concerns waste from sanitary systems. Holding ordinary drainage overflow does not by itself make the site a sewage store.
