military
Places for armed forces under a government to train, exercise, test weapons, and conduct related military activities.
Military facilities are places used by any branch of armed forces under a national or sub-national government for training, exercise, weapons testing, and related military activities.
This does not include auxiliary usages that happen to be operated by or for military organizations. Military offices, military housing, weapons storage, and other military usages are classified under their respective super-types.
The activity on the site supplies the military use. Governmental armed forces can be national or subnational; ownership or operation by a military organization alone does not bring an office, residence, or store into this training-and-operations category.
