local bus terminal
A central station or endpoint serving multiple local bus routes, usually within one metropolitan area.
A local bus terminal is a central or end-point station serving multiple local bus routes, usually within a single metropolitan area. This is larger than an ordinary bus stop, and buses generally stand here for longer periods of time.
This should not be confused with a long-distance bus terminal, which serves inter-city buses covering long distances with fewer stops.
The terminal brings several local services to a common central station or endpoint. A roadside bus stop used by overlapping routes does not necessarily have this terminal role.
