An unspecified tenancy design is an arrangement or design of space in a building so that there is little difference between accommodating a single tenant and multiple tenants.

The space accommodates either one tenant or several without a substantial difference in arrangement. Neither occupancy pattern is the sole intended configuration.

This differs from a single-tenant design, which provides only for one occupying tenant. It also differs from a specifically multi-tenant design intended for divided occupancy.
