friend request pending
A relationship in which one person has sent a friend request to the other, who has not accepted it yet.
A pending friendship request is a one-way connection between two persons when one of them has initiated a friend relationship while the other has not yet accepted this request. When the second party has accepted the friendship request, the relationship changes automatically to the friend level.
The request has been initiated by one person and is awaiting the other person's acceptance. It therefore lacks the mutual agreement of an established friend connection.
Acceptance completes the connection and ends the pending stage. A follower relationship is separately defined as a one-way interest in shared content or activity.
