It is often presented to the owner of a building, but can also be given to the property manager, to the property itself, or any other appropriate recipient.
The recognized achievement concerns how well the property serves its tenants or other users. The honor can be given to the property itself or to a responsible party.
An architectural award concerns design excellence, while a property award focuses on meeting users' needs. A project can have both qualities without the two recognitions being interchangeable.
