Definitions

quaker meeting house

A place designated for frequent religious meetings by members of the Religious Society of Friends.

A Quaker meeting house is a place designated as a regular or frequent site for worship services or religious meetings by members of any branch of the Religious Society of Friends (also known as "Quakers"), a predominantly Christian religious movement which believes in the universal priesthood of all believers.

While Quaker meeting houses are equivalent as a usage to churches in various denominations, members of the Society generally do not label them as "churches", and in fact these usually occupy building types other than churches (such as low-rise buildings, halls, or houses.
