Definitions

new apostolic church

A house of worship in the New Apostolic faith.

A New Apostolic church is a place for regular services, prayer, and worship in the New Apostolic denomination of the Christian faith. The New Apostolic church organization is a Protestant denomination with a central hierarchy, with an emphasis on preparing for the Second Coming of Christ. Its members view the church as a continuation of the early Christian church, from the first few centuries A.D. It was founded in Germany and is headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, with a large percentage of membership today in Africa and Asia.

This denomination should not be confused with Apostolic churches, which belong to or are related to Pentecostalism.
