Graves are spaces for the burial or indefinite storage of dead bodies of humans or pets. They are usually arranged in a manner to allow visits by living persons, with a commemorative function. Commemoration is not added as a usage to graves unless a structure separates the two functions very clearly for different objects.

This usage is assigned to cemeteries, and often also to churches, monuments, or any other structures that contain graves.

Often some religious affiliation can be assigned to a grave site.
