escalator manufacturer
A company that fabricates and supplies the major escalator hardware currently used in a structure.
An escalator manufacturer is the company which fabricates and supplies the major escalator hardware currently in use within a structure. The assignment of the company to any particular structure may change when the escalators are replaced. This is not necessarily the same company which provides ongoing escalator maintenance.
Very often (but not always) the escalator manufacturer for a structure is the same company as its elevator manufacturer.
The product is the installed escalator hardware. An autowalk manufacturer supplies moving walkways, a separate form of passenger transport. Manufacturing either product is distinct from the continuing maintenance of the machinery after installation.
