pre-furnished units

Some units are available that come with furniture so that tenants do not need to bring their own.

A building has pre-furnished units when at least one unit is available for lease or rental with furniture already present. This is offered as a convenience to tenants, especially in rental housing and serviced apartments, so they do not have to buy or bring their own furniture. In this case the furnishings are generally expected to remain in the unit after the tenant leaves.

At least one unit must be offered for lease or rental with furniture already present. Furnishing every unit in the building is not required.

The furniture is normally expected to stay when the tenant leaves. Furniture brought in by the tenant alone does not make the unit pre-furnished.
