construction award
An award for excellence in construction or renovation, given to a contractor, another involved party, or the completed project.
A construction award is a prize, trophy, plaque, or other recognition bestowed for excellence in construction or renovation. It is often presented to the main contractor of a building project, but can also be given to the owner, developer, to the completed project itself, or any other appropriate recipient.
The recognition concerns the construction or renovation achievement. The main contractor is a common recipient, but the project or another involved party can receive it.
An engineering award specifically honors engineering work. The construction award has the broader construction or renovation focus described above.
