Qualities are fields which describe objects by attaching various labels to them, thereby indicating which predefined properties they have.

A quality specifies a characteristic such as form, material, or arrangement. Different labels can describe different aspects of the same object.

Measurements express properties in standard units, while quantities count discrete units. A qualitative label describes the kind of property present rather than giving either of those numerical values.
