transmission mast

A rooftop mast with an antenna for broadcasting communication signals.

A transmission mast is tall pole mounted to a structure with an antenna for broadcasting television, radio, cellular telephone, or other communication signals.

This feature is only applied to buildings when a high mast (mounted with an antenna) is installed on its roof or highest point. It does not apply to free-standing masts or telecommunication towers. It also does not apply to transmitters which are not on masts, e.g. satellite dishes.

Reception antennas, lightning rods, and other masts on top of structures do not count as transmission antennas.
