robotic parking system

A mechanized system that moves or guides into parking spaces.

A robotic parking system is a feature installed in parking areas which mechanically guides or moves cars into and out of parking spaces. This allows many more cars to fit into a given space, without the need for human valets to access each car or to back up many cars to get one car out.

Robotic parking systems may move cars either horizontally or vertically, depending on the configuration of the parking area and of the machinery involved.

This differs from a parking guidance system, which merely directs drivers along an optimal route to their parking spots.
