Removal of part or all of an internal floorplate is completed, creating an open interior space.
A floorplate is removed at the moment when work is completed to remove all or part of an internal floorplate in a building. This operation is usually done to create a high open interior space, possibly to increase storage capacity or to create an atrium or a grand entrance hall. Any number of floors may be involved.
The reverse of this operation occurs when a new floor is added internally.
