multi-building complex

A complex of three or more buildings, or two with differing designs, on a common site without a shared base or overhead link.

A multi-building complex holds three or more buildings that were planned and built as one development, or two buildings whose designs differ. They stand beside each other on a common site, without a shared base and without a link above ground.

This is the general case at the complex level. Use it whenever none of the more specific forms applies, for example when a development mixes towers of unequal height and design, or when buildings were added over several phases under one outline.

Where the buildings rise from one podium, use the podium complex. Where a bridge or passage joins them, use connected buildings. Where two buildings repeat one design, use twin buildings.
