twin buildings

A complex of two buildings built as a pair to a shared design, allowing mirrored forms or small differences.

Twin buildings are two buildings of one development that repeat the same design and in most cases the same height. The pair is recorded as the complex, and each building keeps its own entry below it, so that height, floor count and completion date stay separate for both.

The two need not be identical. A mirrored plan, a different crown or a small difference in height still counts as twins, as long as the design is shared and both were built as a pair.

Where the designs differ, use a multi-building complex. Where both towers rise from one shared base, the podium complex describes the arrangement more closely. Where a bridge joins them above ground, use connected buildings.
