The number of outdoor sheltered parking spaces belonging to a particular object is the subset of the total number of parking spaces assigned to users of that object which are located in an open-air environment on the same object's grounds or property but which have a roof sheltering the spaces.

Every parking space belongs to exactly one of these categories, so the subsets add up to the number of parking spaces. A count that does not add up means a space was classified twice or missed.

The disabled spaces are the exception: they are counted here and again in whichever location category they sit in, so they are not part of that sum.

Spaces on a lot the building does not own are not counted, however close they are and however much its tenants use them.
