lighting control system
An automatic system which optimizes lighting usage throughout a building or structure.
A lighting control system is a computerized or otherwise automated system which controls the lights throughout a building or other object, usually in order to minimize waste by turning them off when and where they are not needed.
The system controls lighting automatically across the building or other object. Computerized control is one form, while other automated arrangements are also included.
Reducing unnecessary lighting is the usual purpose. Ordinary individual manual switches alone do not establish an automated lighting-control system.
