A container building is an inhabitable building consisting of an adapted shipping container, or several conjoined and/or stacked shipping containers. These structures are often installed with a short expected lifespan, as temporary quarters for construction offices or for usages awaiting more permanent facilities.
This category includes mobile homes which are installed on the ground, but not trailer homes with wheels.
One adapted container or several joined or stacked containers can provide the occupied space. Temporary use is common, while ground-installed mobile homes remain included and wheeled trailer homes remain excluded.
