Residential usages include any building space used as people's homes, i.e. locations where people live on at least a semi-permanent basis.
A home can be individually occupied or part of a communal living arrangement. Ownership is not required for a rented space to have residential use.
Temporary guest accommodation offered as a lodging business has a different purpose. A person's home relationship to a space is not established merely by spending a night there.
