The number of office units in any built object or defined area is the total quantity of discrete working spaces for non-physical labor (i.e. desk spaces) within that object or place.

This field is not applied to typical office buildings designed for large corporate or institutional tenants. It is typically used for places such as office condominiums and university offices, where the space is arranged in definable units.

The arrangement must provide discrete working units that can be counted. The floor area of a large corporate tenancy does not establish a number of such units merely because it contains many desks.
