The number of points on an object's perimeter which can be crossed by a road vehicle.
The number of vehicle portals in an object is the quantity of individual points on the perimeter of that object which are designated for the entrance or exit of a motorized road vehicle. A portal with multiple lanes is counted as a single portal.
Examples include parking or garage entrances, vehicle service doors, and certain drive-through lanes (if they penetrate the walls of a building).
Entrances to a loading dock count only when the dock is inside the perimeter of an object, and vehicles can pass within the perimeter.
