damaged by flooding

An inundation with water or other liquid damages a structure partly or completely.

A structure is damaged by flooding when any inundation with water or other liquid damages any of its components, or displaces or otherwise destroys the whole structure. The extent of the damage may include mold damage from wetness; pressure damage; loss of material integrity of any component; or any other loss caused directly or very nearly by the inundation.

The inundating liquid can be water or another liquid. Losses can result from its pressure or from wetness degrading components, so a collapse is not required.

Damage closely resulting from the inundation, including mold, is included. The event can also describe displacement or destruction of the whole structure by the liquid.
