train depot
A place for storing or parking non-operating rail vehicles, including subway and light rail trains but excluding streetcars.
A train depot is a place for storing or parking railroad cars when they are not in operation. It can be used for long-distance trains, regional trains, or local trains, as well as monorails, subway cars, light rail trains, and similar railcars. This usage type does not include parking or storage facilities for streetcars or trams.
Long-distance, regional, and local trains can use the depot. Monorail and subway vehicles are included as well.
A tram depot covers streetcars separately. A rail traffic corridor instead provides tracks for trains in transit.
