data center operator
The person, business, or organization responsible for managing a data center facility.
A data center operator is a person, business, or other entity that manages data centers, i.e. facilities containing internet servers and/or related telecommunications or computer or data storage equipment.
The role concerns operation of the facility containing the computing or related telecommunications equipment. The operator can be separate from the legal owner of the building.
A software producer or a consultant can supply services to the operator without managing the center. Those assignments do not alone establish the operating role.
