photo of renovation
A photograph showing the work being performed on an object to alter it after its completion.
A renovation photo is a photograph showing a structure or other object in its process of being altered during the period between its original completion and its demolition. Photographs showing the construction of an addition should be listed as construction photos. Photographs showing repair work on damage to a structure may be listed as renovation photos.
The photograph shows alteration work during the object's life after completion. Repairing damage can be included; the photograph does not have to show a complete rebuilding of the object.
Construction of an addition belongs to photo of construction. A photo of demolition has destruction as its subject, while a completed altered surface shown without the renovation work does not by itself document renovation in progress.
