photo of demolition
A photograph showing an object during the process of its disassembly, damage, or destruction.
A demolition photo is any photograph showing a structure or other object during its partial or complete destruction, whether through controlled demolition, accidental damage, or other form of destruction. It does not include photographs of a structure in ruins, if that structure is deliberately preserved in that state.
Both partial and complete destruction are included, as are deliberate demolition and accidental damage. The photograph does not have to show a planned demolition operation to meet this definition.
Deliberately preserved ruins are expressly excluded. A photograph of such a retained state is different from an image documenting the object during its destruction.
