photo of surroundings
A photograph depicting anything immediately outside of the object referred to by the image.
A photo of an object's surroundings is a photographic image depicting anything in the immediate vicinity of the object the photo refers to, where the focus is not on the object itself but on the surrounding object(s). It may be a panorama or a small detail. Examples include photos of a plaza outside, of the yard or landscape, and looking out of a window at the view.
The surrounding area is the focus, whether the photograph shows a wide panorama or a small nearby feature. The object to which the image is attached need not be its principal visible subject.
A photograph taken through a window can qualify when it looks outward at the surroundings. A photo of interior focuses on the space inside, and a photo of exterior focuses on the outside of the object itself.
