HK Occupation Permit no.
The number of the Occupation Permit issued for a building by Hong Kong's Buildings Department.
An Occupation Permit is what allows a new building in Hong Kong to be occupied. Under the Buildings Ordinance no new building may be used until the Building Authority has issued one, and this field holds its number.
The permit certifies that the building was completed in line with the approved plans and the Ordinance, and that it is structurally safe.
Its date sits close to completion without being the same fact. The permit follows the finished work and the inspection, so a building can stand complete for some time before a permit number exists for it.
