passenger elevator(s)
Elevators are available for the vertical transportation of tenants or regular users of the structure.
Passenger elevators are regular elevators used for routine traffic of building users and visitors between floors. They do not include large elevators designated for freight or for vehicles.
The elevator serves routine movement of building users and visitors between floor levels. Passenger use is its designated function, rather than occasional permission for a person to accompany a load of goods.
Freight elevators have larger cabins and lifting capacity for furniture and goods. They can sometimes carry passengers, but that occasional use does not remove the distinction from elevators designated for routine passenger traffic.
