abrasive blasting ends

Related terms: sandblasting ends

The final high-pressure cleaning application to a facade after all or a majority of its surface has been treated.

Abrasive blasting ends at the final application of high-pressure streams of water, sand, chemicals, or other matter to a facade to remove soot, dirt, paint, or contaminants. Either the whole facade or a majority of it must be blasted for this event to be listed. This process can restore a facade to its original color.

The beginning of abrasive blasting occurs at the first application of high-pressure material to the facade.

The final application is the endpoint of the qualifying facade treatment. Work limited to a small patch is insufficient, since the whole facade or a majority must have been treated; the beginning is recorded separately.
